On August 6th, Center of Disease Control (CDC) announced the third imported case of viral monkeypox in Taiwan. The CDC has officially designated monkeypox as a category 2 communicable disease since June 23rd. Following this new policy, the physician should report any suspected or confirmed cases of monkey pox to the CDC within 24 hours.
The World Health Organization (WHO) declared monkeypox a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on July 23rd. The obvious symptoms for the monkeypox are fever, swollen lymph nodes and skin rash. Besides, monkeypox will spread through a close contact with an infected animal or person. Once there are any similar symptoms showing up for the monkeypox case, please see a doctor for further action. MONITEX hopes that everything goes well with our friends and partners. Take care and be healthy!
